| Would it be possible to remove the cap on the leaf count? Right now it's 50, but for certain trees like a pine tree all I used is Trunk and Leaves to do the branches (as a texture) but 50 leaves/planes isn't enough. |

I really like this program it has most of the features that I was looking for. The only thing that I wish that tree[d] had is more control over sub-branches/twigs. If tree[d] would let the user specify the number of length segments and radial segments rather then inheriting there values from the branches it would be possible to reduce the poly count substantially without sacrificing much quality. It would also be nice it the orientation of sub-branches could be changed independently of the orientation of the branches. In fact now that I am thinking about it maybe sub-branches/twigs should have there own tab. Great work thanks for making this useful program!!! |

This is the first tree making software that i really like
Hmm, for me a bug: Trees gets exported with UV range in negative range. Some apps kills the UV mapping in such a case. Any chance that this gets fixed? |

| Is it possible for more export options to be added to this program? I cant find something to convert b3d into anything usefull, and when I try to import the .x into blender it throws a bunch of errors. This looks like a great program though... |

| Download Giles 1.3, then install TreeD in it. Run Giles 1.3, open TreeD from within, load your tree file, send it to Giles, and here you can export as 3DS, B3D, OBJ for example. |

| You have to install TreeD into the directory of Giles1.3 when i remember right. When everything went fine you should find in Giles a new menu item Create/treeD/treeD. And that way you can start treeD and send the tree to Giles 1.3 then when done. |

How can I build an old fashion animation carousel? Is for teaching kids easy animation technichs.? I would like to teach my kids some good old fashin animation technichs. I remember, many years ago, I saw some kind of cardboard carousel. The kid make several drawings on a long and thin paper, and tape it into the carousel. Then, spin it and look at it move! But how can I build one? Somebody have any idea? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you're thinking of a Zoetrope, and I have absolutely no idea why you chose this forum to ask on.
EDIT: Ah, spambot. |

This is a wonderful program.. And great just as a standalone program..
I was just wondering if maybe some time down the line you could make the ability to create grass.. and maybe even other objects as well for desert objects.. Like Cactis And maybe bush objects and stuff too.. Would be great..Also more export options.. like 3DS objects..
This program has turned into my number one tree creation program..
Also I was wondering if there was a way to to get a license for this program so I could make trees for a indi game?
Either way great job..
Also if any one is interested.. I can supply any one with over 1000 new textures in high rez.. For free use.. To use in games and stuff..
But the main thing this program needs is plant and grass options.. Flowers would be nice too.. And bushes.. It could easily be a wonderful plant and tree studio by itself..
Also like to say hi to every one.. I am new to the forums.. |
